These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PCB LAB website (pcblab.in) and the manufacturing and related services provided by PCB LAB ("we", "us" or "our"). By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Overview
PCB LAB offers printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing through two distinct service tracks:
- Institute / Organisation Track — Available exclusively to pre-approved educational institutions, research organisations and government bodies. Access requires prior approval from PCB LAB.
- Student / Maker / Hobbyist Track — Open to individual students, hobbyists and independent makers at subsidised pricing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or have consent from a parent or guardian, to place an order. By using our services you represent that you meet this requirement.
The Institute Track is restricted to organisations that have been explicitly approved by PCB LAB following the review of a registration request. Placing an order under the Institute Track without approval constitutes a breach of these Terms.
3. Student / Maker Fair Usage Policy
⚠️ Fair Usage Limit: Each individual account on the Student / Maker Track is limited to a maximum of 2 (two) orders per calendar month. This limit exists to keep the subsidised pricing sustainable and equitable for all members of the community.
Attempts to circumvent this limit — including but not limited to creating multiple accounts, using another person's account, or submitting orders on behalf of a third party — are strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate suspension of all associated accounts.
PCB LAB reserves the right to:
- Review order history and reject orders that exceed the fair usage limit;
- Request verification of student or maker status at any time;
- Modify the fair usage limit with 14 days' notice on this page.
4. Orders and Payment
All orders are subject to acceptance by PCB LAB. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases where design files do not meet our manufacturing guidelines.
Pricing is as displayed at the time of order. For the Student / Maker Track: a setup fee of ₹150 applies per order, plus ₹300 for 5 boards or ₹600 for 10 boards (same design). Pricing for the Institute Track is quoted separately based on specifications.
Payment must be completed before manufacturing commences, unless a credit arrangement has been agreed in writing with PCB LAB.
5. Design Files and Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of the design files you submit. By submitting files to PCB LAB you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use those files solely for the purpose of manufacturing your order.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your designs do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. PCB LAB will not be held liable for any claims arising from the manufacture of designs submitted by customers.
6. Manufacturing Tolerances and Quality
PCB manufacturing involves inherent tolerances. Dimensions, trace widths and drill positions are subject to the manufacturing tolerances stated on the Services page. We commit to meeting industry-standard tolerances but cannot guarantee exact dimensional accuracy beyond those stated limits.
7. Delivery
Estimated delivery timelines are provided at the time of order and are approximate. PCB LAB will not be liable for delays caused by courier services, unforeseen manufacturing issues or events outside our control.
8. Returns and Refunds
If boards are manufactured with a defect attributable to PCB LAB (e.g. wrong specification, manufacturing error), we will re-manufacture or issue a credit at our discretion. We do not accept returns or refunds for design errors made by the customer.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PCB LAB's liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
10. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use PCB LAB services to manufacture PCBs intended for:
- Illegal purposes or activities;
- Devices designed to harm people or property;
- Counterfeit or infringing products;
- Resale under the subsidised Student / Maker pricing.
11. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
